| Post subject: | Game Specific Rules. |
Every MyLeague ladder got the same set of rules regarding accounts, reports etc. etc. But every ladder also got it's own game-specific rules. OT is not an exception but they might look slightly different from the other ladders around. Our rules are as follows: * General Rules: Everyone hates those who do not report their losses, end of story. On this ladder, anyone who does not report their loss within 24 hours after a played match will be penalized 10 rungs. If a repeat offender shows up at our desks, that person will be removed from the ladder, no exceptions. Period. Inconsiderate or impolite players will NOT be tolerated. We want to encourage a ladder that is fun as well as competitive, without hassles. * Game Play: Game play is restricted to either a 9, 12 or 18 hole match. There are no double report matches allowed on this ladder. For example, players can not settle on a 9 hole match then decide to continue the same match for another report. If you wish to play a second match, restart a new game to do so. If such matches are played, no second report will be mandatory. In other words: do not complain to us if you don't get your second report for that game. This is to benefit all players on the ladder so that fair play can be maintained and all players of all ranks can earn a decent chance to move up in rank and play in the top 20. There are NO exceptions to this rule. Honest. * Title Games: The #1 player on the GTGOldTimers ladder must host at least one (1) title match/week to remain in the number one spot. Failure to play this match within this time period will result in a rank reduction of 5 rungs automatically. A valid title match must include the top ranked 4 players, or, if not all 4 are available, the highest ranked players next in line. The top 1 and 2 players have a responsibility to play as many matches as possible to prevent a stagnant top 5 ranking. Should these matches not be played it will be the Admins discretion to impose a penalty or force a title match. To make a title game valid, there are a few conditions that needs to be met. The game shall be announced at least 2 days ahead with individual mails to the players involved or, preferably, in the message forums so that everyone can see the announcement and more players will be available in case not all of the top 4 can make it. The hosted game shall be a level 3 game, with default settings in Suite II. If all players agree to different settings, the game will still be valid. Title games shall be on a regular course, and played a full 18 holes. The par 3 courses 3D Sands and Buckgate Woods are NOT valid courses. * Sudden Death Matches: In Sudden Death match play, please note that it is not mandatory to play sudden death if the game ends in a tie. If a sudden death match is agreed upon by all sudden death players, it is deemed a game and must continue until one of these players win the next hole. If a party does not agree to play on then the match remains a tie and no report is expected between the tied players in the match. However should there be an agreement to play on and a shot is taken by each of the players involved, the game must continue until there is a winner declared and the loser must report the match loss before the next game is played. Sudden Death matches between Top 10 players are 9 holes. |
